With the Total Solar Eclipse occurring on April 8th, 2024, a concept Music Festival event was created to highlight the significance of its presence in Mexico.
Torreón was decided as the event's location by examining the totality path within Mexico. Drawing inspiration from ancient mythology, the visual graphics for this event were inspired by the Aztec god Tzitzimītl, believed to have attacked the sun, causing the celestial event we know today as the Total Solar Eclipse. Tzitzimītl being female, this event was alsointerpreted as Tzitzimītl devouring mankind.
El Fin del Sol: The Arrival of Tzitzimītl coincides with the Total Solar Eclipse and its moment of totality in Mexico, featuring female artists with Mexican heritage. This event celebrates a celestial phenomenon and a platform for showcasing Mexico's diverse talents and cultural richness.
